NEWBERRY — Students at Newberry College can now earn a bachelor’s degree in business administration entirely online.
The program’s goal is to prepare students for success in the business world, while also allowing them to pursue their education from anywhere in the world. Classes will begin in the fall.
“With a strong focus on real-world application, the business administration curriculum has been carefully designed to prepare students for a wide range of careers, both in business and in many other sectors,” said David Harpool, Ph.D., associate vice president for online and graduate programmes. “This online programme is the next step in meeting the needs of our students as well as today’s ever-changing business landscape.”
Students enrolled in the adaptable online programme will have access to a diverse set of courses that combine theoretical foundations with practical skills. The programme also emphasises global perspectives and networking opportunities, and its format will allow for collaboration not only across the country, but also around the world. The programme will be led by a supportive team of expert faculty, each of whom has a wealth of experience and success in the field.
Some core curriculum requirements for online business students will be reduced in comparison to the in-person programme. Internships will also be available for students to earn 12 credit hours. Courses will last seven and a half weeks, and students will be able to complete their degrees in as little as 18 months. For prospective students who already have college credits, the college also has a transfer policy.
Business administration degrees are in high demand, and the programme is the college’s largest undergraduate programme in terms of enrollment. This programme aims to meet a demand that is only expected to grow in the coming years.
Admission to Newberry College is rolling, and prospective students are encouraged to apply early to ensure a spot in the upcoming term.
